My name is Saira, I am 39 years old and I live in Scotland with my husband Simon, our two little kids Aneesa and Luke and our family parrot, Thomas.  I am Scottish in terms of nationality and have mixed-race ethnicity (my dad is Scottish and my mum is Pakistani).  Professionally, I work as a university lecturer in the area of HRM.

I have always been an extremely creative person and in my free time, I love experimenting with make-up, trying out new colours and creating different looks. I am completely self-taught.  I love trying out make-up from various brands, with MAC, Urban Decay, Too Faced and Kiko being some of my favourites.

I first started this site as a creative outlet for me to gather my various make-up looks and eyeshadow combinations.  Another motivator was that friends and family were regularly asking me for advice on make-up.  Having my own blog meant I could write posts addressing all of their queries, as well providing them with recommendations for products.  Over time, my blog has expanded to include articles on my favourite products, hauls, new releases and make-up news.

My goal with this site is to provide you with inspiration for creating different make-up looks, information on amazing products, tips on make-up application and details on upcoming make-up releases.  I aim to upload posts twice a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays at 12pm UK time.
