I’m a huge fan of the Too Faced Peaches and Cream products and am absolutely loving their new Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Long Wear Lipsticks.  I first purchased the shade ‘Breakfast Club’ and was so impressed that I ended up picking up two more shades – Got Peach? and Peach Beach.

I love the vibrancy, opacity, smoothness and comfortable feel of these lipsticks.  They smell delicious too, due to their refreshing peachy, vanilla-esque scent.

If you are on the look out for a new matte lipstick with incredible pigment, opacity and comfort, then I highly recommend the Too Faced Peach Kiss range!

Face of the Day: Adapted ‘Son of a Peach’ Look (Using The Too Faced Sugar Peach Palette)

Last week, I uploaded a post featuring the new Too Faced Sugar Peach Palette (you can see the post here).  I’ve been enjoying using the palette and trying the shades out in different ways.

For the look above, I used the ‘How to Glamour Guide’ that came with the palette and followed the steps for the ‘Son of a Peach’ look.  I adapted the look slightly to suit my own make-up style and preferences.

I think that this look can go with so many different types of lip colours.  I used the Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipstick in Breakfast Club, which is a vibrant, orange-red shade, in the photos above.  Click here to read more and see swatches of the Peach Kiss Lipsticks!

Click on ‘Read More’ to find out the steps suggested in the Glamour Guide and the small tweaks I made to the look.

Rimmel ‘The Only 1’ Lipsticks in 120 (Matte) and 200

When I was starting to wear make-up in my teens, Rimmel was my go-to brand as it was affordable and reasonably priced.  However, I started to veer away from Rimmel as I got older and began trying out other make-up brands.  The other day, though, I saw a YouTube collaboration video featuring Karima Kimmie and Michelle Crossan showcasing looks using the relatively new Rimmel ‘The Only 1’ Lipstick in the matte formulation, and that brought the brand back to my attention.

The lipstick that Michelle used – 120 – really caught my eye as it was such a beautiful, coral-red shade.  What also really appealed to me was that they found the matte texture to be incredibly comfortable, moisturising and smooth to wear on the lips.  I don’t tend to wear matte lipsticks much as I can find them very drying on the lips.  So when I heard that these lipsticks felt so smooth on the lips and I saw this incredible colour, well, I just had to try them out! Boots also had a ‘2 for £10’ across the Rimmel make-up range, so I picked up another of ‘The Only 1’ lipsticks to try out, this time in their traditional (satin-like) formulation.

Urban Decay recently completely revamped their entire lipstick line and launched the Vice lipsticks.  The range includes an impressive 100 shades with six finishes, including sheer, sheer shimmer, cream, metallized, comfort matte and mega matte.  An additional 20 shades are also available exclusively to Sephora, so lucky you if you have access to Sephora to view these shades!

This post features the two shades I purchased with a metallized finish: Zealot and Cruel.  I also have Wonderland (Gwen Stefani packaging), Firebird (Gwen Stefani packaging) and Venom (from the old Revolution range).  Wonderland, Firebird and Venom have all been incorporated into the permanent Vice collection.  You can read my post on Wonderland lipstick here and my post on Venom lipstick here.

This look shows that red lipstick can be used with eyeshadow shades other than neutrals.  I used peach and coral-red eyeshadows on the eyes to create a very fresh, slightly colourful effect on the eyes.

I completed the look using a peachy-pink blusher (MAC Pinch O’Peach) and a matte, pinky-red lipstick (Loreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Julianne’s Pure Red).

Today, I am going to introduce you to a recent find of mine: Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in 410 Fab Orange.  The Maybelline Lip Pencils are a great all-in-one product, as you can use them to both line and colour the lips.  They are also handbag friendly and cost only £4.99, making them a fantastic option if you are on the go and looking for a quick (and cheap) way of wearing lip colour.

This look shows that red lips can be paired effectively with coloured eyeshadows on the eyes (not just neutrals) if they are kept very soft.  I used a crease/blender brush (MAC 217) to softly smudge olive green and forest green eyeshadows onto the lid.

I completed the look using a rose-gold blusher and, of course, the hot orange-red lipcolour (Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencil in 410 Fab Orange) shown in the photos.

Face of the Day: Classic Glam

For this look, I created a neutral, yet defined effect on the eyes to really make the red lips stand out.  Using neutral brown tones on the eyes means that you can easily wear any shade of red on the lips that you fancy.

Tip: Hot pinks, bright corals and deep aubergines would all work if you want to wear a bold shade on the lips.  Alternatively, nudes and rose-pinks would work just as well if you want to keep the overall look very natural.
