Lemon Pink Drop

Lemon Drop With Pink 1

Lemon Drop Pink 2

For this look, I paired lemon yellow and hot pink together for a refreshing burst of colour on the lid.  Using a contrasting colour in the outer part of the lid is a fun way to add a ‘flash’ of colour whenever you blink.  Placing a neutral brown in the crease helps to balance the brighter tones on the rest of the eyelid.

Here’s how to re-create this look:

Products

Base: MAC Painterly Paint Pot (neutral light beige)
Crease: MAC Cork eyeshadow (medium matte neutral brown)
Outer Lid/Outer v:  MAC Lala eyeshadow (medium satin hot pink)
Lid: MAC Crest the Wave eyeshadow (light shimmery lemon yellow)
Highlight: MAC Ricepaper eyeshadow (light shimmery cream-gold)

Steps

1. Apply Painterly all over the lid as a base.

2. Apply Cork in the crease of the eye with a crease/blender brush using a windshield wiper motion (e.g. MAC 217).

3. Take Lala onto a flat shader brush (e.g. MAC 239) or a crease brush (e.g. MAC 217) and apply to the outer lid.  Take Lala into the outer v as well to further shape the eye.

4. Pat Crest the Wave onto the lid, using a flat shader brush (e.g. MAC 239).

5. Using an angled eyeliner brush (e.g. MAC 266), apply Cork along the lower lashline.  Apply Crest the Wave with the same brush along the inner lower lashline.

6. Using a crease/blender brush (e.g. MAC 217) or a pointed crease brush (e.g. MAC 226), sweep Ricepaper on to the browbone to highlight. Take this down into the inner corner as well to brighten the eye.

7. Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
