For this look, I combined a teal-green liner with pinks and purples to create a colourful, candy-like eye.  Applying a pinky-purple eyeshadow over the eyeliner transformed the teal-green into a pretty shade of turquoise and helped tie the overall look together.  Here’s how to re-create this look:

For this look, I smoked out a  bright purple liner to create a soft ‘pop’ of colour around the lashlines.  I also combined the purple with aqua-green and brown on the lid to add extra contrast to the look.  You could use a different shade of eyeliner (e.g. blues, greens or coppers) to create a fun variation on the same look. This look uses navy gel eyeliner across the upper lashline to add a little ‘pop’ of colour to an otherwise neutral look.  Navy blue, charcoal grey and chocolate brown are good options if you want to try something a little different from black eyeliner.  Jewel purple, forest green and teal also look beautiful with neutral eyeshadow if you want to experiment more with brighter colours.

Old Gold With Blue

Old Gold 1 Old Gold 3

MAC’s Old Gold Pigment is one of my favourite eye products.  This pigment has an interesting mix of gold, orange and green and looks different depending on the angle it is viewed.  I used a turquoise coloured paint pot underneath the pigment and applied blue eyeliner to provide an interesting contrast to the gold tones.

This look is perfect for springtime and shows how you can add a little ‘pop’ of colour to brighten up a more natural look. I used MAC Bio-Green (on a 266) brush to line the upper and lower lashline to add a fun ‘pop’ of colour. Using eyeshadow as an eyeliner adds soft definition to the eye and is less harsh than a pencil. Continue reading
