Fenty Beauty is currently touring the UK as part of the Harvey Nichols pop-up store and I was excited to see they had a location near to me.  There aren’t any stockists where I live and I also haven’t tried the brand before, so it was really fun to be able to finally see the products in person.  As part of the pop-up, Fenty Beauty were giving away a free make-up bag with a mini lipstick sample, as well as a foundation sample, with any two purchases.

I ended up choosing three products and also got the make-up bag with the samples to try.  I want to try them all out for a while before putting a more detailed post up but for now, I thought it would be fun to showcase what I picked up!

You can read more about the Fenty Beauty pop-up stores and find out the locations here.

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo in ‘Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule’

I’ve read a lot about the Killawatt Highlighters and so I was really excited to see them in person.  All of the Killawatt Highlighters were available, including Trophy Wife (one of Fenty Beauty’s cult products), Metal Moon and the four Highlighter Duos (Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal, Girl Next Door/Chic Phreak, Mean Money/Hu$tla Baba, Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule).

I ended up opting for Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule (see above photos).  I loved the look of the other three duo highlighters but felt like I already had other similar toned highlighters in my collection.  Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule looked quite different, as it was a lot deeper and looked like I could use it as blusher, as a blusher topper to add some extra highlight and as eyeshadows.  I just love the peachy, coppery, golden tones in both shades and can’t wait to try them out!

Stunna Lip Paint in ‘Uncensored’

I just couldn’t resist getting the Stunna Lip Paint in ‘Uncensored’ as it looked incredibly beautiful when I swatched it.  The lip paint glided on beautifully, looked extremely opaque, so smooth and was such a rich, vibrant red colour.  I have quite a few red lipsticks already but this one just felt so glamorous and classic.  I love the packaging as well; it looks really classy and sophisticated.

Pro Filt’r Amplifying Eye Primer

I’m always on the look-out for a good eyeshadow primer and thought it would be fun to try out this new offering from Fenty Beauty.  The Pro Filt’r Amplifying Eye Primer has just been released as part of the ‘Moroccan Spice’ collection.

The box states that primer “Boosts colour, extends wear” and is “…Weightless, smoothing and creaseproof”.  I’m looking forward to seeing how it works with my pressed eyeshadows, pigments and glitter-based pressed eyeshadows (like the eyeshadows in the Urban Decay Moondust Palette).

Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in ‘Candy Venom’ (sample as part of free gift)

I had been looking at this exact shade in the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick range while I was browsing but decided to leave it until I had the chance to read more about the lipsticks.

I’m really excited to try it out and see if the colour is as beautifully vibrant on the lips as in the tube and how the matte formula feels on the lips.

Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in ‘150’ (sample as part of free gift)

The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation was one of the most hyped products when Fenty Beauty first launched last year due to the expansive shade selection available (40 shades).  As noted above, free foundation samples were being given away as part of the pop-up experience.  The foundation sample was given inside a card with information on the foundation and the ‘Full-Bodied Foundation Brush’.

I probably wouldn’t have bought this foundation for myself as I don’t generally wear full coverage foundation.  I only use fuller coverage when I have a special occasion or need my make-up to look pristine all day.  It’s really fun to get to try out a sample, though, as who knows?! I might love it! I opted for shade 150 as it seemed like the perfect match for me.

Fenty Beauty Make-up Bag (free gift)

As part of the pop-up experience, Fenty Beauty were also giving away a free make-up bag (which contained the sample of Candy Venom lipstick) with any two purchases.  It’s always nice to get something for free when you are already buying something!

The make-up bag is lovely, actually, as it is a nice size for popping into a handbag, for holidays or for your make-up kit.

The bag is painted in a similar colour scheme to the boxes for Fenty Beauty products, with a black background and white spray paint design.  The bag feels good quality in that it has a nice firmness outside and feels lovely and cushioned on the inside.

So these are the products that I picked up from the Fenty Beauty pop-up store! I can’t wait to try them out and see what they are like.  Have you used Fenty Beauty before? Any products you would recommend? Let me know in the comments section below.
