Shimmery champagne-pewter eyeshadow is neutral enough to pair with a variety of different colours. For this look, I used berry hues in the crease to add some warmth and depth to the eye. Here’s how to re-create this look:
Lemon Pink Drop
For this look, I paired lemon yellow and hot pink together for a refreshing burst of colour on the lid. Using a contrasting colour in the outer part of the lid is a fun way to add a ‘flash’ of colour whenever you blink. Placing a neutral brown in the crease helps to balance the brighter tones on the rest of the eyelid.

Blue Smoke
Using neutral brown or peachy brown eyeshadow alongside coloured eyeshadows is one of my favourite ways of making brighter shades more wearable. For this look, I complemented the smokey bluish-grey eyes with a creamy ‘my-lips-but-better rose pink shade (Look 1: Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie.
However, you could also use various other lipstick shades to give the look a different twist. This post shows how using a natural peach lipstick, a deep copper-bronze lipstick and a deep creamy plum lipstick alongside the eyes creates different types of look.
Pink Vanity (Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette)
Pairing soft pinks with purples is one of my favourite ways of wearing coloured eyeshadow in a fun, yet under-stated way. Using shades which are close to each other in the colour spectrum can help make coloured eyeshadows more wearable and also helps with overall blending.
I used the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette to create this look but you can use any brand of eyeshadow you like which has similar shades.

Neutrals With Navy Liner
This look uses navy gel eyeliner across the upper lashline to add a little ‘pop’ of colour to an otherwise neutral look. Navy blue, charcoal grey and chocolate brown are good options if you want to try something a little different from black eyeliner. Jewel purple, forest green and teal also look beautiful with neutral eyeshadow if you want to experiment more with brighter colours.

My Top 3 Blushers
This article features three of my favourite blushers: Illamasqua Naked Rose (pale dusky neutral pink), MAC Pinch O’Peach (peachy-pink) and MAC Dollymix (shimmery fuschia pink). I have many other blushers but I find that these three products are the ones I reach for time and time again.
Old Gold With Blue
MAC’s Old Gold Pigment is one of my favourite eye products. This pigment has an interesting mix of gold, orange and green and looks different depending on the angle it is viewed. I used a turquoise coloured paint pot underneath the pigment and applied blue eyeliner to provide an interesting contrast to the gold tones.
