Cosmic Galaxy (Using Urban Decay Moondust Palette)

For this look, I used Galaxy eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Moondust Palette alongside greens and browns to create a shimmering smoky teal combination.

You can read more about this palette, see photos and view swatches here.

Emerald at Dusk

For this look, I used teal and green eyeshadows to create a fun, colourful spin on the traditional smokey eye.  I really like how teal and green eyeshadows look together.

Tip: You could add a little lemon yellow eyeshadow in the very inner corners if you want to add even more colourful brightness to the eyes.  Black or deep teal liner along the upper and lower lashline would also add some extra smokiness to the look.

IT Cosmetics: ‘It’s Your Complexion Perfection’ 4 Piece Collection on QVC

QVC UK started selling IT Cosmetics last year and since then, I have been eager to try out some of their products.  As of last week, QVC UK started selling the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream as part of a special 4 piece collection.  I’ve heard a lot of great things about this product (Emilynoel83 loves it), along with the other items in the collection, and so I couldn’t resist ordering it for myself.  The collection was also available last weekend for a ‘Today’s Special Value’ deal of £47.89, rather than £65, as part of QVC UK’s Beauty Weekend.  So I just had to get it!

I thought I’d do a post showing what the collection looks like and giving a quick overview of the products inside.  I’ve just received the set and not yet had a chance to play around with the products.  I  might do a few other posts providing more information on what I think of the products once I’ve used them and more detailed product pictures  (let me know in the comments section if you would like to see these types of posts).

For this look, I used coral eyeshadow in the crease of the eye to add some subtle warmth to a bluish-violet combination.  Adding a little blackberry eyeshadow in the outer lid helped tie the coral and blue-violet eyeshadows together and added some extra dimension to the look.

Autumn Colours with Periwinkle Liner

I felt like doing something different with my eye make-up yesterday and came up with this combination.  I added in a slick of pale blue liquid liner along the upper lashline to add an unexpected flash of colour to a peachy-pink, orange and brown eyeshadow look.

Tip: If the blue liner is too much for you, you can just leave it out and stick with the eyeshadow look.  I really liked how the eyeshadow combination looked on its own as well.

It’s been a while since I wrote a post (work and life have been very busy recently) and so I wanted to kick-start my writing again with a bold and colourful look.  I used the new UD Full Spectrum Palette, which contains a rainbow array of colourful eyeshadows.

Tip: Lining the eyes with black liner and using lashings of black mascara really helps define the eye when using such bright eyeshadow colours.

Note: I’ll try to write a post on the UD Full Spectrum Palette soon, along with swatches, to give you an idea of what shades the palette contains.  Think bright and colourful, ranging from white, yellow, orange, coral, copper, purple, cranberry, green, blue and black!

#2 Make-up Organisation and Storage: Eyeshadow Palettes, Brushes and Mirror

This post is based around how I store my eyeshadow palettes, my brushes and the mirror on my dressing table.  I store my eyeshadow singles separately in my dressing table drawer so I will do a separate post on that aspect of my make-up collection.

If you want to know more about any of the products in the photos here let me know.

Note: I’ve separated my make-up organisation and storage into articles based around different parts of my make-up collection.  Once I started writing, I realised that keeping it as one post was going to be too long and a bit overwhelming.  You can read my other articles on how I store and organise my make-up here.

Are you looking for a product which gives a gorgeous glow, is multi-purpose and presented beautifully? If so, look no further than the Too Faced Sweethearts collection.  The Sweethearts range includes the Sweet Tea Bronzer and four boxed blushers, all which come beautifully packaged.  You can read my post on the Sweethearts blusher in ‘Sparkling Bellini’ here.

I recently purchased the Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea and I absolutely love it.  Functional, glowy and also stylishly presented – what’s not to love?! This product is fantastic if you want something which gives you a sun-kissed finish and also looks wonderful on your dressing table.  It is also wonderful as a gift, in that it comes beautifully presented in the outer box and the inner packaging.
