I mentioned in my recent post on the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paints (you can see the post here) that they are very comparable to the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks. I thought it would be helpful to write a post comparing these two products to help you choose which might best fit your needs.
Maybelline recently released the Color Drama Intense Lip Paints in the UK (aka Color Jolt Intense Lip Paints in the USA) and they have quickly become a favourite of mine. The lip paints are smooth, pigmented and feel so light on the lips. I think they are a good dupe for the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks – just as pigmented but at a fraction of the price. One of my readers (shout out to Julie!) said that she would love to see how I organise and store my make-up collection. I really enjoy reading this type of post on other sites so I thought, ‘why not put something together on my own site’?
It’s always fun to see how other people store and organise their make-up. It’s also fun to look at pictures of other people’s make-up and see what they have in their personal collection!
Note: I’ve separated my make-up organisation and storage into articles based around different parts of my make-up collection. Once I started writing, I realised that keeping it as one post was going to be too long and a bit overwhelming. This first post is based around how I store my lip and cheek products. When I’m on holiday, I like my make-up to be effortless and easy. I like to look polished and nicely presented but I don’t want to have to spend much time getting ready. When I’m visiting warmer climates, I also like my make-up to be very light and fresh; I prefer not to have much on my face at all. Over the years, I’ve managed to whittle down my holiday make-up bag to those products that I know I will use.
I thought it would be fun to do a post featuring those products, as I know how hard it can be to leave products behind when you are a make-up lover! This post features my favourite face, eye and lip products for taking on holiday.
This look is a slightly brighter version of the ‘Twist of Colour’ look I posted recently. For this look, I used a bright, shimmery silver on the lid, cork brown in the crease and a ‘pop’ of bright blue in the outer v part of the lid.
Tip: The beauty of this look is that you can adapt it using any other colour in the outer v. Try pink, purple, olive green, charcoal and black for a twist on the same look.
Note: You can use any brand of eyeshadow you like which has similar shades to re-create this look (if you don’t have the Vice 2 palette).
