Minnesota Vikings Inspired

This is the fifth look in my ‘American Football Teams’ inspired series.  The Minnesota Vikings’ colours are white, yellow and purple.  I used more muted, shimmery shades for this look as I wanted to create a softer effect on the eyes.  You could use matte or stronger hues of these shades to create a bolder version of the look.

There are also a couple of full face shots at the end of the post, in case you want to see how the whole look comes together.

Tip: Using eyeshadows with a different finish can change the intensity of a look.  Matte shades can come out stronger, whilst shimmery or pearl versions of colours can create a more muted effect on the eyes.

This combination is the fourth look in my series of ‘American Football Teams’ inspired looks.  The Green Bay Packers’ colours are bright yellow and deep forest green.  I wanted to make the look very bold, so I used yellow and green eyeshadows to create an ‘elongated’ effect on the eyes.

For this look, I used olive green and metallic pink-peach eyeshadows to create a highlighted effect on the eye.  This type of look uses a darker shade in the inner/outer lids and a light shade in the middle of the lid, helping to made eyes look rounded and bigger.

I used the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette to create this look but you can easily swap in other brands with similar shades.

This combination is the third look in my series of ‘American Football Teams’ inspired looks.  The San Diego Chargers’ colours are blue, yellow and white.  On the day when I saw the team playing on TV, they all had pink towels as part of their strips in support of breast cancer charities.  I thought the pink looked so pretty alongside the blue, white and yellow tones and decided to incorporate it into the look.

This combination is the second in my ‘American Football Teams’ inspired series.  Today’s look is based on Jacksonville Jaguars, whose colours are black, teal and gold.  I used teal and black eyeshadows to shape the eye and a slick of gold liner along the lashlines to add some brightness.

My last look on the site (Kansas City Chiefs post on Sunday) was uber-bright, colourful and not for the faint-hearted.  I thought it would be fun to do the complete opposite and create a very natural, soft look.

I used the Urban Decay Smoky Palette (and the brush which comes with it) to create this look.  This combination shows that even when a palette is catered towards smoky looks, you can still create more wearable combinations when you use the lighter shades.

This combination kicks off the start of my new ‘American Football Teams’ inspired looks.  The Kansas City Chiefs colours are red, yellow and white, making for an extremely bright and colourful eye look.  There are also a couple of full face shots at the end of the post, in case you want to see how the whole look comes together.

Tip: Lining the eyes with black liner and using lashings of black mascara really helps define the eye when using such bright eyeshadow colours.

For this look, I combined bright candy pink, bluish-purple and blackberry toned eyeshadows to create a fun, colourful effect on the eyes.  Using an eyeshadow which contrasts slightly on the inner part of the lid adds a fun ‘pop’ to the look.
