For this look, I smoked out a  bright purple liner to create a soft ‘pop’ of colour around the lashlines.  I also combined the purple with aqua-green and brown on the lid to add extra contrast to the look.  You could use a different shade of eyeliner (e.g. blues, greens or coppers) to create a fun variation on the same look. For this look, I used a deep purple eyeshadow with medium and deep chocolate browns in the crease to create a soft, colourful smokey eye.  I used the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette to create this look but you can use any brand of eyeshadow you like which has similar shades.

This look is part of The Chocolate series, which shows how you can experiment with a different lid colour to change up an existing look.  You can find the full Chocolate series here.

If you are interested in how these combinations look on other people, then I’d recommend taking a look at @shinebridabeauty on Instagram! @shinebridabeauty tagged me to show she was inspired by The Chocolate Series and re-created the looks on her Instagram page.  It’s so wonderful to see the combinations on someone else.  @shinebridabeauty also uses different products, which that you don’t need the same items to re-create a look.  She also came up with her own extra Chocolate look – Coconut Chocolate – so look out for that one on her Instagram page!

This look combines pink, purple and blue to create a bright, yet wearable, colourful eye.  Applying a bright blue to the outer v provides an interesting ‘pop’ of colour alongside the pink and purple shades.  You could use a dark purple in the outer v (in place of the blue) if you would prefer a more subtle look.  Here’s how to re-create this look:

Applying a darker colour to the inner/outer lid and a lighter, shimmery shade to the middle of the eyelid helps to really highlight eyes and make them look rounder in shape.  I combined eyeshadows across the orange spectrum to create this look but you could also use the same technique using dark, medium and light eyeshadows from another colour family (try shades of green, blue or purple).

Teal Peacock Eyes

This look uses light green, aqua and peachy-brown to create a fresh and spring-like eye.  Applying a violet eyeshadow very lightly along the lower lashline provides a pretty contrast to the spring greens on the upper eyelid.

I used mainly MAC eyeshadows to create this look but you can use any brand of eyeshadow you like which has similar shades.

For this look, I combined lemon yellow, apple green and bright teal eyeshadows to create a colourful, tropical eye.  Using black eyeliner along the upper lashline and jet black mascara on the lashes helps to define the eye when using such bright colours on the eyelid.  Here’s how to re-create this look:

Green Patina

MAC Patina is a pretty golden-taupe eyeshadow which can be used alongside a variety of other eyeshadow colours, including greens, golds, browns and even neutral pinks.  Patina is a really interesting shade, as it looks different depending on what other colours you use alongside it.  I chose to bring out the green and brown tones in Patina by pairing it with moss green and deep reddish brown in the crease.  Here’s how to re-create this look:
