The fourth look in my Bird Series (you can read more about the series here) is based around the Teal and Brown Flying Hummingbird.  There are so many different shades in this bird’s colour scheme – teal, green, bright blue, bright purple, brown, glints of black and white – which I thought would make for a really interesting look.  The look was a challenge for me, as it’s been a while since I’ve attempted to combine such a wide range of colours all just on my eyes! I really like how it turned out and think it is one of my favourite looks in the series.

You can view full face shots, along with the cheek and lip colours I used, in this post.

The Bird Series includes looks based around different types of birds and their colour schemes.  You can read more about the series and view posts here.

Tip: I used a wide variety of eyeshadow singles and shades from palettes for this look, as there were so many different colours to combine together.  You can read more about the shades I used below in the ‘Products’ section.

The third look in my Bird Series (you can read more about the series here) is based around the Robin. Robins have a really interesting mix of colours and tones – brown, deep burnished orange and white – and so I thought this would be a fun combination to try out.  I used a slightly more red-based shade to tie in with the stereotype of Robins being ‘red-breasted’, even though they seem to be more orange-based in real life.

You can view full face shots, along with the cheek and lip colours I used, in this post.

Neutrals With Pink (Using Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette)

I’ve been wearing a lot of bright eyeshadow combinations recently so I fancied trying something more neutral today.  I used shades from the Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette for the eyes and finished the look off with a hot pink lipstick and pink blusher to add some vibrancy.

To complement the look: I used MAC Dollymix Blusher on the cheeks, MAC Beaming Blush Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter to highlight the cheekbones and Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipstick in Homecoming Queen on the lips (you can read more about the Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipsticks here).

I recently purchased the new Kat Von D Saint and Sinners Eyeshadow Palette (click here to read about this product, see photos and view swatches) and just couldn’t resist trying out Ministry on the lid.  For this look, I combined it with Stigmata, Crucifix and Relic to create a smokey yet colourful look.
