Golden Relic (Using Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used the Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette (click here to read more about this product) to create this quick and easy golden peach combination.  I wanted to create something which looked fresh and bright on the eyes, compared to the smokey, sultry blue combination featured in my first Saint and Sinner look post here.  I used only one brush (the MAC 239) to create this look as well, keeping things nice and simple.

One of my favourite plum lipsticks (MAC Craving) finished a while ago (sob!) and so there was a wee plum coloured gap in my lipstick collection.  Rather than buying the same shade again, I really wanted to try out a similar shade from another brand.  There is something really fun about trying out a similar shade from another brand, particularly one that I haven’t tried before.  Enter Smashbox ‘Be Legendary Lipstick’ in ‘My Digits’!

Classic Grey Taupe Eye (Using Kat Von D Saints and Sinners Palette)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I really fancied trying out a more neutral combination with the Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Palette (see my post on this palette, including photos and swatches here) and came up with this light greyish-taupe look.

Combination Ideas: This look is classic enough that it can go really well with all sorts of lip colours.  I wore this combination with Too Faced Wham lipstick, a creamy, glimmering berry shade with pink, silver and purple sparkles.  You could also try this eyeshadow with pinks, reds and deeper berry hues.

Kat Von D Saint and Sinner Eyeshadow Palette

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When the Kat Von D ‘Saint and Sinner Eyeshadow Palette’ launched in October at Debenhams, it took me a wee while to decide whether or not to purchase it.  Not because of the shade selection or the quality (it’s amazing on both counts!) but due to the £52 price tag.  The palette costs more than I would usually spend on an eyeshadow palette and so I really wanted to make sure it would be a good investment for me before forking out for it.  Now that I have it, I am soooooo glad that I got it!!!!

Kiko 3D Hydra Lipgloss in Shade 26 Sparkling Hibiscus Pink

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Around Autumn last year, Kiko launched their new range of lip glosses: the Hydra Lip Gloss, touted as a ‘softening lipgloss for shiny, plumped lips’.  I purchased shade 26 Sparkling Hibiscus Pink to try when they came out and love the glossiness, pigment and non-sticky nature of the formula.  I recently purchased shade 16 Iridescent Ruby and love it just as much (let me know if you would like to see a post on this shade too).  It’s been a while since I have written a Kiko post so I thought it was time to put a post together on this fabulous product!

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in ‘Sparkling Bellini’

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Back in July 2016, I wrote a post featuring the Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer (click here to read the post).  I really loved this product (and still do!) and it made me curious about the other Sweethearts products.  My cousin’s wife mentioned to me that she had purchased the Sweethearts blush in ‘Peach Beach’ and so I thought it would be fun to check out the range.  

After swatching (and re-swatching) each of the blushes, I settled on ‘Sparkling Bellini’.  This particular blush has now become one of my favourites whenever I want to add a peachy-pink glow to my cheeks.  The blush is made up of three complementary shades (more on that below), meaning you can get four different blush effects on your cheeks.  Versatile, glowy and peachy-pink cheeks – I love it!

Emerald at Dusk

For this look, I used teal and green eyeshadows to create a fun, colourful spin on the traditional smokey eye.  I really like how teal and green eyeshadows look together.  

Tip: You could add a little lemon yellow eyeshadow in the very inner corners if you want to add even more colourful brightness to the eyes.  Black or deep teal liner along the upper and lower lashline would also add some extra smokiness to the look.
