I recently posted an article on the Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pots (you can read more about this product, see photos and view swatches here).  I wanted to show how you these pots can be used to create a quick eyeshadow look which still adds a little something to your eyes.

All you need to re-create these looks are a Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot for the lid (I used Unleashed on the lid in the top two photos and Frose on the lid in the bottom two photos), matte brown powder(s) for the crease, an eyeshadow close to your skintone to highlight the browbone and some mascara.  I used the Smashbox Step By Step Contour Palette for my crease and highlight colours, as everything is in one place and easy to hand.

You can easily vary this look by using any other eyeshadow on the lid for a quick go-to look whenever time is tight.

Silver and Browns (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette)

Rich Girl is a really pretty, light metallic silvery-taupe shade from the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette).  This look is slightly smokey, yet still neutral enough that you can pair it with most lip colours.  I wore a bright, deep pink shade with this look and I can also imagine it working well with reds, deep berries, plums and light neutrals.

I recently posted an article on Urban Decay Thunderbird eyeshadow (you can read more, see photos and swatches of this product here) and wanted to share a look using this product.  I used black eyeshadow, a shimmery light peachy-brown eyeshadow and a little black eye liner to add extra smokiness to the look.

Hot Magenta and Black (Using Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette)

I’ve really been enjoying dipping back into palettes that I purchased a while ago (from Urban Decay, Kat Von D and Too Faced) as it can be so easy to get sidetracked by all the new releases.  I really love the bold pops of colour and smokier tones in the Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette and came up with this magenta and black eyeshadow combination.

To complement the look I used: MAC Blusher in Melba (matte peach) and MAC Huggable Lip Colour in Fresh and Frisky (light coral-peach).

Rich Cocoa (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette)

Love & Cocoa is a beautifully rich, metallic chocolate brown shade from the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette).  I couldn’t resist trying it out on the lid alongside Holla For a Dolla in the crease and Famous on the inner lid.

Quick and Easy Neutral Eye (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette

I used the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette) to create this quick and easy go-with-anything neutral eye combination.  I wore this look with a red lipstick but it would go just as well with nudes, pinks, corals or deeper shades.

All Out Blue (Using MAC Eyeshadows)

I thought it would be fun to use various shades of blue eyeshadow from MAC to kickstart my new ‘Spotlight on MAC’ series.  You can read more about the ‘Spotlight on MAC’ series here.

Some of the shades are from the permanent range, whilst a couple are from past limited edition collections.  I’ve given suggestions for permanent shades you can use in place of the limited edition ones, in case you don’t have them.

To complement the look:  I used Kiko Marmoreal Biscuit Baked Blush (you can read more about this product here) on my cheeks and Bare Minerals Gen Nude Lipstick in Nudist on the lips.

Smoked Aubergine (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette)

Iwanted to create a colourful, smokey look using the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette) and came up with this combination.  I really liked how using New Money (a metallic medium fuschia-pink) in the crease added some brightness to the look.

To complement the look: I used Kiko Marmoreal Biscuit Baked Blush on the cheeks (click here to read more about this product), Laura Gellar Baked Brulee Highlighter in Toasted Coconut to highlight the cheekbones and MAC Bombshell lipstick on the lips.

Purple Emerald (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette)

My last couple of looks with the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette) have been fairly subtle and so I really wanted to experiment with a bolder look.  This look combines together deep metallic forest green and purple eyeshadows to create a strong, defined effect on the lids.

To complement the look: I used The Balm Balm Springs Blush on the cheeks, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer (click here to read more about this product) to highlight the tops of the cheekbones and Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paint in 610 Stripped Down (click here to read more about this product) on the lips.

Chocolate Olive Gold (Using Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette)

Here is my second look using the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette (click here to see my post on this palette).  Holla For A Dolla is a really beautiful, metallic olive green and I couldn’t wait to try it out with some of the golds and chocolate browns in the palette.
